How to think about AI customer support ROI
This ROI calculator estimates how much you can save by automating a share of your customer support volume with AI. It combines three things finance teams care about: the fully-loaded cost of each ticket (agent salary, benefits, infrastructure, QA), the share of tickets a modern AI agent can resolve without human help, and the payback period it would take to recover the implementation cost. You tell us your monthly volume, the channels you support, and what each ticket currently costs you. The numbers are deliberately conservative. We assume AI handles a realistic share of tickets — typically 50 to 70 percent for companies with mainstream helpdesks and decent documentation — and that human agents still own the complex 30 to 50 percent.
